The Bible mentions pomegranates a bit. Which is a bit interesting to me because that's not a popular fruit anymore. What fruits did people eat back then exactly, there's mention of the category [e.g. corn, figs, grapes, olives] but that doesn't let you know the specific type taste or appearance. We have weird fruits shipped across vast distances now. Bred to be durable enough to survive long travel time. And fruits are often picked before ripe to increase the time they're on store shelves, left to ripen in shipping and on shelves. Instead of growing fruit locally and have local specialties there's this uniform blandness and sameness. What's the point of having a delicacy fruit like an orange when it has to be watered down to make it feasible to mass produce it and ship across the world. Lots of effort for commoditizing muh oranges. And they sell it as a good thing "now everyone can eat like kings and queens". I've seen comments talking about how people eat better than kings of old because they can heat up a microwave burrito in a flash. I would think it was just a promoted shill comment but they believe their lies. And if someone is "pretending to be retarded" 24/7 as the clubbers do then they are retarded, even if it's not in the same way they present themselves. Isaiah 43:14 says the chaldeans cry is in their ships. Revelation 18:17 talks about people who own ships mourning the fall of babylon because it made them rich. Lots of people must love being able to take a cut on everything needlessly shipping around all over the world. People aren't taught how to grow and cook food anymore. Or identify plants or fruits and vegetables anymore. People are discouraged from eating fruit off trees because it might be poisonous and they were never taught how to identify safe fruits. School and society taught us to look down on "unskilled labor" (no such thing, lots of effort can go into the simplest tasks, and barely any effort can go into things that look complicated like computers and spreadsheets) and avoid being unskilled jobs because it'll ruin your body. If society was so great why does it ruin people's bodies to keep running? And if everyone's being raised to be a cubicle spreadsheet churner how can society possibly function when there's no one left to do any manual labor. It seems like most people want to brag about how their child has a prestigious job and that they themselves are a manager with many underlings. Everyone seems to want to be in on top of others but nobody acknowledges how most people have to be stepped on in order for there to be a top of society. I think part of the reason they support "democracy" so much (while idolizing and justifying the british "royalty" they're supposed to be ideologically opposed to) is because they know that if there weren't rule enforcers they would be murdering eachother all the time like their fake history stories and life would collapse. They can build empires of paper to satiate their ego without the risk of their fellow bandits murdering them and stealing their goods. Also that they believe that marketing is reality. I've heard people surprised that a movie with their favorite actors is bad. I thought it was common knowledge that actors take on junk film projects, do a quick filming, and then leave with heaps of money for having their name in the marketing. Although could there be another reason for those, as money is fake. I suppose they could just be paying back favors to people. This was a bit of a tangent. ----------- I think "strange wives" can also refer to pagan/witch wives in addition to strats. It's a pretty big mistake to let an enemy propagandist get so close to your people so I can understand why they were concerned about it back then, even if the wife wasn't strange flesh and was a real woman.
